Pipeline pigs are driven forward by gas , liquid or pipeline transport medium and can carry other auxiliary equipment to complete various auxiliary pipeline operations. According to the different media and uses in the pipeline, different configurations of pigs are selected. The pigs are equipped with supporting accessories such as polyurethane foam pigs , mechanical pigs , wire brush pipeline pigs , pipe diameter measurement pigs , electronic tracking pipeline pigs (magnetic flux leakage detection pigs) , wax scraping pipeline pigs and other products. Most of the purposes of cleaning are divided into cleaning and isolation. Among them, the ball type (i.e. cleaning ball) and leather cup type are the most common two categories. Ball type pigs have the advantages of strong practicality, easy operation, low manufacturing cost, and good flexibility for right-angle pipelines. Leather cup type pigs are mainly used for cleaning of water and liquid pipelines, oil and gas pipelines and boiler pipeline decoking.
