PIG is usually divided into two groups (as shown in Figure 1-1), one for the pig launch and the other for the pig. Storage and handling lifting recommendations:

No special protection is required before installation, mainly to ensure that accessories installed around PIG, such as exhaust valves and vent valves, or pressure gauges, may cause leakage after collision, and are prohibited from being attached to valve accessories or actuators. Hoisting. Before installation, ensure that the valve is clean and no foreign matter is allowed to enter the valve flow path to prevent damage to the valve sealing door and cause the valve to leak.

The valve is forbidden to be stacked in the open air. Long-term storage needs to be checked regularly. The machined surface without spray coating in the exposed atmosphere should be coated with anti-rust grease. A cover is attached to both ends of the valve passage to prevent foreign matter from entering. When the valve is stored, the valve should be fully opened to avoid damage to the spherical surface. The valve can be operated either fully open or fully closed. The valve cannot be placed in the semi-switch position for a long time. The valve can be used for outdoor installation and use.

Note:

Each PIG valve can be used as a pigging ball valve or as a pigging ball valve, but the installation direction of the pigging valve must be distinguished during installation. When used as a pigging service valve, the end of the valve seat with the barrier must be installed at the upstream end of the pipe. As a pigging ball valve, the end of the valve seat with the barrier must be installed at the downstream end of the pipe. A pig trap can also be installed in front of the PIG valve and equipped with a receiver/transmitter to clear the ball valve. When the pig is the result, an indication is given.
